Q:I have combination skin. I get oily on my nose and forehead especially. And I’m actually really lucky and very rarely break out. My main problem is my nose has a lot of blackheads. I use a scrub and astringent and I cannot get rid of them. I also get whiteheads on my chin on the sides at the bottom and top close to my lip. No matter what I do they won’t go away. Can you please recommend something to do or use to get rid of them?
Thanks everybody

A:The problem is that products meant for acne often removes oil which may cause your skin to produce more oil. I’ve tried Clinique 3 step for acne and it made my skin tight, irritated and dry (I’m normally slightly oily in some areas). Especially if you have rather dry skin, you need to find something that is gentle enough but still effective. I’ve wasted to much money and time trying to figure out which products would work for me, and Origins is the best stuff I’ve come across. I use a cleanser, daily moisture cream with SPF and occasoinally (1 or 2 times a week) the fruit acid pad in the “Never a Dull Moment” line. I also use my Clarisonic Mia once a week, but a Clarisonic is quite an investment.
A:the thing that works best for my for blackheads and pimples on my nose is toothpaste ! I swear by it !
A:i heard the facewashes with the little beads in them are best for blackheads. but if you have trouble with regular acne as well, try going on minocycline. it helped my best friend go from severe acne to a perfectly clear face, and im not exaggerating.
A:Try an ex foliating face wash about 2 times a week, which should help. Or maybe a deep cleansing wash
Also try to wear minimal makeup
A:Cup your hands with warm water and splash on your face. The warm water will open up your pores. Get a deep oil free face cleanser with medicine, and lather that up and gently scrub your face for a minute. Rinse off with cold water to close the pores up. Make sure to wash your hands really well before doing this. Do it every morning and night.
